Description:
You are the nutritionist giving advice to only one of the case study scenarios below based on which group you are in.  In these scenarios, the patient has come to you for a consultation.  During the consultation they tell you about themselves but there is also other information provided. In order to answer the questions you will need to figure what information is missing and pharse it as a probing question in order for you to give advice to your patient. For more info see rubric located under the assignement submission.
There are many causes of obseity that involves many factors such as where they live, family dynamics, family financial - resources, school - social dynamics influence health outcomes.  Think of all the different factors as you read this case study.  You have to open the word document to read the case study.  In this case study you want to adress the family members, investigate, discuss and think of practical suggestions that the family can possibly put into practice.  The case study is a word document you must open below.

There are many causes of eating disorders, and achieving and maintaining a healthy body weight involves a reasonable reduction of energy intake (calories eaten), incorporating regular and appropriate physical activity, and sustainable behavior changes.  Having a healthy body image and acceptance of body size is essential since being stigmatized can affect one's eating patterns and exercise. Think of all the different factors as you read this case study.  You have to open the Word document to read the case study.  In this case study, you want to address the family members, investigate, discuss, and think of practical suggestions that the family can put into practice.  The case study is a Word document you must open below.
