 In your opinion, how do you believe the presence of minority administrators and teachers has a positive impact on the overall school experience and environment in K-12 education?


It has been proven that minority students perform better academically with teachers who look like them.
Gives a diverse role for students to see people in leadership who look like them and their qualified to support their higher learning


Representation- it gives students ambition and pathways to what they can become if they succeed.

 Community- students can go to teachers who share identities to find community


Depending on the demographic of the schools students need to see the representation of their background being successful and in powerful positions.


Yes, I know it’s important for minority students to have the presence of seeing people who work in education look like them this gives them a feeling that they can be in that role and helps them develop confidence in their being.


Minority children need to see people that look like them teaching their classes. This inspires them and motivates them to achieve. This shows them that they can study and become successful just like their own minority teacher.


Minority teachers may be more likely to incorporate students' cultural backgrounds and experiences into their lessons, making learning more engaging and relatable.

Yes I believe that having minority administrators has an overall impact on students because they can see someone who looks like them in a position of leadership which in turn shows them that they too can be in that position as well.

Yes I do believe it makes students that look like the teacher more comfortable and interested in what’s going on in the school.


So kids k-12 can see other individuals that look like them I believe it is important because these kids look up to individuals and realize they can be better and just as worthy once they get older
