Using evidence from at least three different resources on the website (from the "Resources" and "Life Stories" links in the toolbar on the left of the NYHS web page), explain the important role that women played in the American Revolution.

Then In a separate paragraph answer the following question: Why do you think these stories of women in the Revolutionary Era are not nearly as well-known as heroic stories of men in the same period? 

Your answer should include at least one full paragraph for each resource you choose, plus the separate paragraph answering the question about why these stories of women are obscure.
