Objective 4: Examine victims and victims’ rights.

Have you ever had something taken away from you? Ripped away to never get it back? When a crime is committed against someone else, the victim of the crime will never be the same again. No matter what the crime is, the victim will be faced with fear of the event and may struggle with overcoming it for the rest of their lives.

• Find a news article about a crime that was committed and a victim who was involved.

• Write a one  paper about the event and how the victim was impacted.
  • Discuss what services are available to victims of crime and how they mitigate the impact of victimization.
  • Provide at least two sources. If you cite a dictionary, it will be in addition to the required two sources. The Bible is not to be listed on the References page, but does have to be cited in-text.
