Go to the website identified in Workshop One that covers the state laws where you live. Locate a criminal charge that you find interesting and identify the elements needed for a conviction. Make sure you identify both the mens rea and actus rea as you discuss the elements. Once you have done this find a similar legislation in another state. Compare this legislation with the one in your state. For example: Find and discuss the statute on rape in your state and find, discuss, and compare the rape statue in another state.
