Abstinence is one approach to treating substance abuse.  Other strategies include harm reduction, cognitive behavioral therapy, and pharmacological approaches.  This discussion asks you to do two things.  First, research one of the treatment strategies listed above, and identify a strength and a weakness of that strategy, per two peer-reviewed journal articles.  Second, critique the choices of two of your peers.  If you respond to a peer who picked the same strategy as you, then identify and discuss different strengths and weaknesses than the ones they identified.  Make sure that you interpret all articles for yourself--do not rely on AI (ChapGPT or some other bot) to do this.  AI makes many interpretative mistakes and sometimes makes things up.  This can impact your grade.
