Objective: Describe what are considered appropriate and inappropriate behaviors for law enforcement officers.

Law enforcement is tasked with the awesome responsibility of using only that force necessary to carry out their duties such as arrests. Each year, law enforcement has several million violator/citizen contacts. Of these millions of contacts, the vast majority end with no use of force or inappropriate actions on the part of the police.

• Discuss the various models of policing such as community policing, traditional policing, and data driven policing to name a few.
• Is there one model you think works best and should be used?

• If you were a chief which model or blend of models would you use for your agency?
