This group research project introduces you to excellent historical writing through a method of critique. Each group will select one historian and review his or her books or articles with an eye toward analyzing how that person writes, presents research, and generally conveys his or her ideas. The completed project is due at the end of Week 3.

You will complete another milestone for this group project this week. For an overview of the requirements of the final submission due next week, review WK3 Excellent Historians Group Project Final Submission.

Week 2 Requirements:

• You should individually locate and read an essay, article, or book chapter by your selected historian for this group project.
• Write a brief synopsis of the essay, article, or book. Include the proper citation of your chosen source. For additional help on how to write a synopsis, review the resource Writing a Synopsis: History Essay Synopsis.
• Submit your synopsis here for professor feedback. (Each group member should submit their own synopsis of their individually selected source.)
