Corey gives a good summary of the various theories included in the text on pages 10-11.  In actuality, there are several theories that are not included in this text, and we will not be able to study all of the ones that are included in the text.  However, this gives you an idea of the focus of some of the major counseling theories.

• Consider the summaries of the various theories.

• Prepare to engage in discussion on one of the theories that sound most interesting to you and explain what makes it interesting to you
