<em>objective: to understand our own values and how they relate to our leadership style.</em>              there is a leadership scholar who says he is a vales-based leader whenever he is asked what is leadership style is. this answer is different from many scholars who state a specific theory, whether transformational, servant or other theory. the concept of being a values-based leader is one where the very fabric of one’s value system is tied to their leadership style. this person does not make a decision without first consulting their values based framework. as such, understanding the importance of values to all of our leadership styles is critically important in the development of our personal leadership model
