Journal Response
Journal on Video Clips
Below are some links to funny and interesting websites. Please take some time and watch some of these. After you have found one that you want to write about, please write a 500-600 word essay that answers these questions below. I will grade on content and grammar and usage. I would suggest that you devote a paragraph to each question.
(1) If you took the time to watch several videos, what attracted you to the particular video clip that you chose? Be specific. (2) Did you have prior knowledge of the subject matter or not? What did you know? What didn’t you know? (3) Choose at least one critical concept from the video and summarize it. (4) Then, discuss this concept’s relevance for you, the course, or the world we live in. How have you seen this concept applied to or evident in everyday life? If you have not seen it, why is this? (5) How will you use the information you gained? If you can’t see a specific use in your life, might you want to learn more about it anyway? If so, where would you seek more information? (6) Finally, did the form of the video have an influence on your interest level?
This first one contains some rather dark humor, so don’t choose it if you are easily offended!
