McMinn presents the foundations of psychological and spiritual concepts of forgiveness.  He shows how this may or may not be important for a secular counselor, but is important for a spiritual counselor.  Forgiveness can be a difficult thing for others to ask for and/or to give.  This assignment shows the value of forgiveness in healing.
