JC week 2 second discussion 200 words only!!

Question

We meet people every day who need Jesus in their lives.  Some of these are unbelievers who need Christ as their Savior, and we must be ready at any time to help them see the truth of the goodness of creation, the damage of the fall, and the hope of redemption in Christ.  Others who need Jesus are Christians already, but have a limited understanding of the extent that Christ’s redemption must play in their lives.  These people need to be built up in their faith and doctrinal knowledge.

  • Prepare two short stories from your own experience.  These can be examples when interacting with believers or non-believers.  Focus on the use of terms studied this week (see the list of terms in the next assignment for ideas).
    • First, describe a positive example of sharing your faith and being able to use and explain unfamiliar terms to the person or group.  Share what the term was and how you made it clear for the listener.
    • Second, explain a circumstance that did not go so well.  This example will be one in which you were using a term (or more than one) and the listener(s) were not understanding your point.  Again, share what the term was and how you attempted to make it clear for the listener.
  • Prepare to share these stories with your colleagues in order to seek greater awareness of how to be effective in communicating ideas of salvation.
