This assignment attempts to answer the question: What is more important for effective leadership behavior:  task-oriented behavior (being good at getting things done) or relationship-oriented behavior (being good at getting along with people)?

• Download and read the Workshop Two PowerPoint Presentation.

• Discuss the following:
  • Give your “top three” list of what is important for the task oriented person.  Explain why you list each one.
  • Give your “top three” list of what is important for the people oriented person.  Explain why you list each one.
  • Which kind of leader are you (task oriented or people oriented), and what can you learn from the other style?
  • Response posts should further the discussion by asking clarifying questions and sharing alternative views.
