Instructions | Objective: Discuss the factors and complications of alcohol disorder, intoxication, and withdrawal. According to Timko, DeDenedetti, Moos, and Moos (2006), “a significant percentage of drinkers do not limit themselves to rare or occasional alcohol ingestion, which places them at increased risk for premature death from a variety of alcohol-related conditions.” Therefore prospective counselors must learn to identify the signs and implications of prolonged alcohol use and abuse.
