assignment
Learning is simply the first step in a life-long pursuit of God. It does not come all at once and not every discipline is as effective for every follower of Christ. After practicing a few of the spiritual disciplines in this course, what has been most effective for you? What are some areas of your spiritual life that are lacking, that you can supplement with some more challenging spiritual traditions? Take time to consider what it would look like for you to practice these spiritual traditions in both the short-term and the long-term.
- Create a vision statement that describes where you want to be in your spiritual development twenty years from now.
- Create a mission statement that describes what you are going to do from now until that time.
- Develop a chart describing a series of objectives that you want to accomplish in varying stages in your spiritual growth from this point forward.
- Finally, describe the actions steps it will take to get to that future reality. What do you need to do this week, this year, this decade, in order to see this come to fruition?
