In this discussion we will be looking at how Love should be ordered. In the text by Boa 2001, God as the creator of the universe a vast complex universe that we seem to be the main part of.
How are we to love God and why are we to love God. Look first to Jeremiah 29. God in this verse is talking about the Children of Israel they have not been following God and had been sent into exile look at this as the way that we all live as we are separated from God because of sin. God is talking to them and us through his word and tells that that if they turn back to him, he has plans that will be blessings for them this is for us also. God wants to have a relationship with us. He wants us to love him because he first loved us.
How do we as people walk out love first, we have to love ourselves that’s right we have to forgive ourselves and love us with the love that God haves for us. We see in John 3:14-21 that God loves us and sent Jesus so we can have a way to him he did not send his son to Judge us but that we can be saved. We still do not turn to him because we want to live in the dark and sin that causes us to die and this show that we do not love self. We must die to self so we can be reborn in love not in obedience to the law but in the perfect love of Jesus. Boa 2001 tells us how the love leads to redemption.
The love for others is what God wants us to strive for and that we may be like him we are told in Matthew 5:44 to love the very people that are against us. God does this when he loves us as he does, Sin puts us against us, yet God still offers us redemption. This means that love is the answer in how we are to deal with others. Look to 1 Corinthians 13 and we see that love is above all and we are given a blueprint on how to show this love as an action.
In conclusion we are to love, and we are to do this with all that we have so that God can be show to the lost world through us if we do this we have already been blessed as when we do the work of the kingdom of God, we have blessing untold for we have the love of the father in us.
