This is a high school creative writing assignment. The assignment and it’s requirements are:

Create your own transformation by thinking about the power of metaphor to express complicated human experiences. 

PROMPT: You awake one morning to discover you have been transformed. Much like Gregor in the story, describe your day and your adjustment to this new lifestyle. 

In this writing, you may use first person or third person. Your tone may be serious or comic. The physical description and details of the day should allow the reader to understand what the metaphor is.

Your story should include: 
- a physical description of what you have become
- a realization of the transformation
- the setting for the revelation
- the reactions of family and those around you
- experiences during the day
- an epiphany of the meaning of the experience
- a resolution (ending)

Your story needs to be on a Google Doc in Times New Roman, 12-point font, and double-spaced. It needs to be a minimum of 1 page in length.
