BU-101-OL1 / Spring 2020

FINAL PROJECT

Students, individually, will be asked to choose a publicly traded business to analyze and report on.  A formal written report will be prepared by each student.  The reports should provide details on:

1. clearly introduced the company giving the company’s history, mission statement, goals (background information) (clearly summarized the history of the company and its background),
2. company’s products (goods or services) (discuss the products/services the company offers)
3. company’s competitors (discuss the company’s competition),
4. company’s financial information (provide an overview of the company’s financial situation, present stock information, etc)
5. company’s SWOT analysis (present strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the company)
6. Company's Marketing Strategies
7. company’s Ethics and Social Responsibility Issues
8. Conclusion – provided a summary of report

 In the financial information section, please include copies of the company’s financial statements, a tracking chart and graph of the company’s stock from the dates outlined in the syllabus, as well as a discussion of the company’s financial situation. 

In your SWOT analysis, please brainstorm ways the company could embrace, improve, face, and/or overcome their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.  You may also wish to report on other issues the company is experiencing as they relate to topics covered in the course.  (Be sure to cite references used.) 

All reports should be double spaced, typed reports with one inch margins, 12 fonts, page numbers, headers & footers, and at least 7 pages long, not including the financial statements, cover sheet, bibliography and any other appendixes. Please include your name, my name, the course name, and the name of the company you chose on the cover sheet of your report.  The second sheet of the report should be a “Table of Contents,” and the last one a Bibliography or work cited sheet citing all references used in the report.
