The National Center for Vital and Health Statistics provides a comprehensive definition for Data Stewardship, which includes the many uses of data. Discuss and analyze the multiple uses and concerns in maintaining data, and what policies must and should be in place tensure adherence to and the protection of health information. In your discussion, include the concepts of data integrity and the application of standards, potential data quality issues, methods to ensure/promote accuracy and consistency of the data, including such factors as timeliness, confidentiality and access, and control.
