Many important machines, instruments and tools have been invented during the twentieth century. Significant discoveries have been made and events, both positive and negative, have taken piace. These developmentS/milestones have brought changes to man's thinking, living conditions and ways of life.

Your task is to write an article for a student magazine where you describe the three inventions, discoveries or events you find most important during the twentieth century. Introduce your choices and support your views with examples. You may choose among the given suggestions or think of others that you want to write about. Remember to write one text, not three.
